STUFF. chose their ten favorite records of the year and wanted  us to share them in English. They’ve also made a great mix for this occasion, you can listen to it below.

1. Meshell Ndegeocello – Comet come to me

Incredible sounding album with great grooves, dark lyrics and beautiful synths from one of our favorite bass players.

2. Aphex Twin – SYRO

Quality stuff from gOd himself. ♥ it or get the f*ck out of my house! No further comments.

3. Flying Lotus -You’re dead!

How can STUFF. NOT like FlyLo. If he would hammer the beats for EVERY mainstream rapper, we might just put on the radio again on random times during the day.

4. Plaid – Reachy prints

Oldskoolers dun it again. Listens like an upgrade to their former sprout Scintilli. Melomaniac super clean earcandy we can’t resist. We even covered Hawkmoth together with our friends from Pudding oO to celebrate this great track.

5. Thom Yorke – Tomorrow’s modern boxes

Always a sucker for Thom Yorke’s haunting melodies and dark club beats.

6. Jozef Dumoulin & the red hill orchestra – Trust

Local super cult hero massaging our brain and hearts in the most subtle ways. Features Ellery Eskelin and Dan Weiss. If you don’t know this: open your ears and get it! Trust us :-)

7. A/T/O/S – a taste of struggle

chill liquid butter for the ears from all time favourite label DEEP MEDI, produced around the corner by friends & featuring Stuff’s own EWI-maniac on a number of trax.

8. Lone – Reality Testing

Another fun shuffle techno album, great music for roadtripping in France.

Local hero melting old techniques and sounds into a new melting pot of dripping basslines, clever melodies and 808 drummachines like you’ve never heard it before and that’s an accomplishment on its own.

10. William Onyeabor – Who is William Onyeabor

Not much is known about William Onyeabor, but we do know he made some lovely strange music with synths back in the day. Check out the documentary!
